Everyone, myself included, always focuses on the end result when they decide to learn a new skill, music is no different. The problem is, in our attempts to master an instrument or our favorite song, we forget that learning takes time.
Between writing stories, I’m a self-taught, novice musician. So far, I have two songs under my belt and one I’m currently learning, along with a basic understanding of simple chords and where to find the notes on a keyboard. Through videos and this blog, I hope to share the difficulties and successes of learning to play the piano.
If anyone else wants to learn to play the piano, perhaps we can learn together. Or, maybe my struggles will help you work past your own. Either way, I hope we can improve our pianist skills together.
